all the right tools near perfect fix

The glass came properly packaged and with more then enough tools to do the job. If you follow the guides online you will be fine. If you scrape the adhesive off the lcd there is a chance that there may be an air pocket between the LCD and the replacement glass. This is user error though and can be fixed/touched up. Overall this product is a perfect replacement and at the right price. It saved me around $80. Though as others have noted it does change your menu and back buttons to a blue lit color. I didn't mind, some may.

Exactly as advertised.

This is a piece of glass. Nothing more, nothing less. It is a piece of glass, and it probably is genuine Samsung. It is a TERRIBLE idea to try and replace only the glass without the LCD and digitizer. Every bit of the surface of the screen under the glass is covered in glue, so you have to work with a heat gun to melt the glue and use the guitar picks (only one of the ones included is good for this btw) to pry it off slowly. It'll take an hour or two for this part alone. The digitizer is directly beneath it though, and only about 0.5 mm thick, so if you even breath on the thing wrong it'll snap and you're out of luck. I've fixed dozens of phones and replaced many screens, but I ruined my mom's phone. We're just going to buy the $200 prelaminated version, which is a simple replacement fix. I'm not saying that it isn't possible to do this replacement, I'm just saying you're getting exactly what you're paying for.

Replacement Screen

When I got the replacement screen kit, everything was intact, and in perfect condition. It was not too hard to install onto my phone. The reason I am giving this product only 4 stars though is because it did not come with any instructions, and I spent a good 45 minutes trying to find a good dependable source to be able to properly install. Company should definitely either include instructions or a link to a video made by their company showing how to install the screen
