Perfect product at half the price!

I read a review recently about the Qi (pronounced "chee") standard wireless charger kit for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and kind of figured, perhaps wireless charging has finally settled on a standard! So I went searching for the kit and found the least expensive Samsung branded kit for about $90, then I found these! The only issue I have is that I recieved a White kit and the product description clearly stated "Black"

Pros:
Half price of Samsung branded product
Much slimmer than samsungs own offering, also, the feel of the very slight bulge the reciever creats under the OEM battery cover is actually plesant, kind of neat.
Incredible convience of just grabbing the phone off the nightstand rather than dealing with the cord.
Less wear and tear on fragile USB port.

Cons:
LED's on the base are too bright, probably would've been better if it had been black!
Probabily takes a bit longer to charge, however, who actually cares, if you want to charge it quickly, plug it in... otherwise, you're most likely sleeping when its charging and there's no rush.

All in all, I'll probabily purchase more and scatter them around the home as more devices adopt wireless charging.

Works great.

This is my fourth wireless Qi charger and by far it works the best.

PROS:
- The "tacky" material is great compared to other chargers, that it allows the phone to rest easily without sliding around.
- The very subtle charging light is almost unnoticeable during the day, as it's within the black plastic and only seen when the unit is charging.
- Phone does not have to be exactly aligned in order to charge.

CON:
- The charger makes a "beep" when the phone begins to charge. VERY similar to a wristwatch's hour chime. I've yet to discover a way to disable it.

All in all, the beep is tolerable and I would recommend this charger.

Great for the price and fits my S4

I bought this for $50 and it was definitely worth it for my DIY project. My whole project was to make a good looking car dock without having to plug a cable in for my Galaxy S4 to charge it and this was instrumental to the whole thing.

The goods:
- It has a good magnet and can charge up to 1cm from the charging plate
- It has a 75% charging efficiency
- It has a good feel to it with a sturdy plastic casing
- S4 adapter works just fine, but adds a slight bulge on the back of the phone

The bad after taking it apart:
- It has really cheap soldering
- Flimsy bolted down internals
*All the bad stuff is fixable, I re-soldered the weaker parts and I didn't care about how the internals were bolted down.

So as part of my DIY project I used the following:
- Old Motorola car dock for my old Droid Razr X
- Charging plate
- Wireless charging battery adapter

I took apart the wireless charging plate and dremeled along the magnet and coil. Be extremely careful to avoid the wires. I then folded the electronics to the plastic piece of magnet. This allowed the coils to be on one side and the electronics to be on the other side. This is where the soldering fell apart and had to be re-soldered. I then took apart the Motorola car dock and dremeled the back of it to accommodate the wireless charging plate. I place the coil side towards the front side of the dock, hid all the loose ends, and then bolted in the back piece of the dock. Everything fits and looks great. I had to snip the holding piece of the dock to fit the S4 so that it snaps in easier.

Tested everything and now I can simply snap my S4 into the dock and watch it charge wirelessly. The added bonus is that the LED indicator lights up behind the dock and I can vaguely see it reflecting on the windshield to let me know it's charging.

For $50 and you wanted to do something cool, this is a very cheap and functional alternative. BTW... it ships from Hong Kong and takes a while, but it arrived sooner than I thought.
