Cable Casing near Micro USB was damaged and no response from the Customer Care

I bought this cable from SF Planet for my new Samsung Galaxy S3 phone for charging purposes in my office. The product came within the expected delivery time frame. However I noticed that the outer casing of the cable near the micro USB end had some defects in it hence refrained from using it for my phone. I contacted the SF Planet Customer care regarding it and they were ready to send me a replacement without asking this cable back. After that assurance I waited for about 1.5 weeks for my new cable to arrive in my mailbox. But it didn't, so I contacted them again to be told by the customer care that they didn't have the cable "in-stock" due to large volume of demand and again assured me that it will be shipped to me once it arrives in their inventory. All this communication happened between last weeks of September and early October. Its December now and I still haven't received the replacement from SF Planet. This is the first time I have had such an experience since I had done business with them earlier also.
Quick Edit: After this review, SF Planet customer service contacted me, attributing shipment transportation to be the reason for me not receiving my replacement and offering a full refund on my order. Even though it was a bit late, I give SF Planet the benefit of doubt in this case and appreciate their effort to strive towards improving the customer buying experience. Hence, modifying this review rating to reflect it however SF Planet should be more careful towards future customers to ensure such an experience does not happen to others.

I needed another cord

What you see is exactly what you get. A usb cord in new condition. Work fine with my Samsung galaxy III. Charges the phone fine. No issues. Received in a timely manner. If I need another cord I would definitely order this cord again.

I wanted an additional cable so I had a permanent one at work. Plugged it in - works perfectly.
!!!NOTE!!! the reviewer who says their cable does not charge their Galaxy S3 either has a bad cable or bad USB port. Mine works fine.
