It was put to the test today.

This was delivered about a week ago and I was skeptical. I like to carry my phone in my jeans pocket so I wanted a thin case that made holding my new Samsung Active a little easier on hot, sweaty Texas days. The rubber like material did do that plus it didn't hang up in my pocket when I retrieved it. It installed really easy and I thought maybe it wouldn't take much for it to slide right off of the phone but so far that hasn't been a problem. It holds the phone good.
Today my wife and I were our riding our motorcycle and I put the phone in a windshield pocket. The phone just barely stuck out of the top of the windshield pocket. While stopping at an intersection, and going about 10-15 mph, the phone fell out of the windshield pocket, due to vibration, (it's a Harley) and bounced and slid into the intersection about 30 feet. Luckily it wasn't run over by passing traffic! When I got to the phone, the first thing I did of course was to look for damage and see if it worked. There was one small scrape in a corner of the case, otherwise it was like new. The phone still worked just like it should and the case was still on and hugging the phone.
I have zero complaints with this case and would buy another. A larger variety of colors would be nice. Pink, purple and bright blue is just not my style, and might get me beat up.

Wow! The best $7 case I've gotten. I cannot comment on drop-protection seeing as I just got the phone/case today, but here's the skinny so far:
Fits flush with the phone, adds barely any bulk, just the right amount of space for the S-pen.
Has cutouts for the all mics (yes, multiple microphone cutouts. Samsung uses a triple-mic setup for ambient noise reduction.)
The typical nice cutouts for: IR blaster, headphone jack, USB plug(kind of a snug fit, but much better than I was expecting)
The power button and volume rockers are covered, and especially nice attention to detail with the volume rockers, there is a nice groove that makes it very easy to switch between up and down, instead of the usual TPU-case guessing game.
The grip of this case is awesome. the little circle pattern on the back actually really helps with that. I'm very comfortable with holding the phone one-handed.
The look is great too, the bubble pattern stuff is shiny, and the edges are shiny, but everything else is Matte black and looks pretty darn good.
Can't believe how cheap I got this with PRIME shipping. The carrier stores would charge at least $20 for a case this quality.
I really was looking at the SPIGEN Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Case Protective [Neo Hybrid] [Metal Slate], but at $35 right now I'll wait until it drops. Until then, this case has far exceeded my expectations in every aspect.
OH, one of my favorite features? THERE IS NO BRANDING VISIBLE ON THE OUTSIDE! It's on the inner layer of the case, where your phone covers anyway. I'll update pics when I get a chance!

Looks: 9.5/10 (some minor cosmetic flaws in the molding)
Protection: unknown (I don't plan on dropping my phone but once it takes a few tumbles I'll update this)

Very slim case. Nice rubbery feel, enough to grab on things and not slide off, but not too much to be able to remove from your pocket. Good price to boot. All the holes and buttons line up well. Good job!
